You are speeding along the highway, and out of nowhere you look up, and there’s a huge boulder falling fast, boom lands right in front of you. You’re shocked, you’re stuck, and you can’t go past it. You can’t get to your destination.

Hi, for those of you who don’t know me. I’m LauraBeth Ryan, of cheerful hearts.

I am known as the queen of resilience, empowerment coach to help high-achieving professional women overcome their toughest challenges with grit and grace.

So today, I’m gonna talk to you about resilience, because resilience is really key to us moving past our obstacles, and there isn’t one of us here that’s not gonna encounter challenges especially entrepreneurs, right? None of us goes through life on state.

So I’m gonna give you three tips today to help you.

When you, when that boulder seems to be in your way, how can you bounce back? because that is resiliency?

Resiliency is the ability to overcome obstacles, look for solutions, and navigate your way through them so that you can move forward past the boulders that come out of nowhere in your life.

So for me, I was bedridden, the first major hit that I took as a mother of four sons. I became bedridden in an instant, and all of a sudden my entire world was turned upside down.

So what did I do?

The number one thing that got me through that, and I was bedridden for 10 years. I could have either sunk into depression and stayed there or I could have decided I’m going to choose to wake up every day with joy.

So that’s the number one tip for today is I want you to be more resilient when those obstacles hit you. You’re gonna say instead of now there’ll be a second. Don’t get me wrong where you have to adjust.

But then you look for that solution. How can you get around, under or through there is always a solution and our mindset is key because if we focus on the problem, we’re gonna stay back.

But when we focus on how can we handle the situation? Maybe it’s calling a friend for support, maybe it’s getting a doctor that knows more than you do for your health.

Maybe it’s that friend who, you feel safe with whatever it is, do something and you will bounce.

Number two is being being grateful, which all of you are, start thinking about gratitude.

And the third, as we are all leaders, most of us are leaders here. Many of us think I can’t reach out for support. I have this image.

No, reaching out for support is a sign of strength. So I thank you all for your time today.
